I knew I had to make these when I watched My cupcake addiction’s video tutorial on it! It was a part of 12 Christmas treats she was showing how to make. These stockings were near the end of the video. You can check out her video here-
These were so super fun to make! The decorating options are endless! You can even dip the heels and toes in white chocolate as well. And there are so many options for “stuffing” the stocking! Some of what I used were Teddy Grahams, candy cane sprinkles, m&m’s, gingerbread sprinkles, tree sprinkles, skittles, the list goes on!
Also, you can use any white sprinkles/sugar to coat the top white “fur” of the stocking. Theres granulated sugar, which gives a nice pillowy look. There’s also sparkly sandy sugar, and white nonpareils. All look so cute. You can even leave it plain!
As shown in the video, if the cake pops are too cold, and then you dip them in warm chocolate, they will tend to crack because of the temperature difference. So they shouldn’t be too chilled before dipping, and the candy melts should not be too warm. But in the video, I fixed the cracks that happened by just painting on some more red candy melts and smoothing the crack out. It looks like there was never a crack to begin with!
Even if you left these plain, they are still super adorable. Enjoy!
